Challenge

Genesh has been in growth mode in recent years. While company is excited about growing and increasing the number of restaurants in the States of Kansas and Missouri, growth brings more transactions, more paperwork and overall more work on daily basis. On the other hand; old way of doing business starts to be an obstacle for the company’s path to growth.

In this view, one of the challenges is to manage and report daily sales figures to headquarters. Company uses POS registers to record
sales transactions at each restaurant with exact date, time and amount. At the same time, company uses an ERP system for accounting and finance management. There is no link between these two systems as registers at restaurants and ERP systems.

Initially company starts recording sales figures at each restaurant on Excel sheets. Afterwards staff sorts sales data on Excel and enters sales figures into ERP system one by one or in groups in a manual way. While having couple of restaurants, this task seems to be manageable. When you pass the limit of 10 restaurants, this manual task starts becoming a challenge on every single work day.

Higher management understands the importance of automating this type of repetitive tasks in order to have control, to have a better
